Recent weather conditions have improved. However, we still urge everyone to use caution and remain mindful of changing conditions when burning.

Sanitation trucks will run their normal schedule on Friday.

Regular business hours will resume on Monday, April 6th.

Clay County residents, we want to let you know that garbage collection WILL run as scheduled this Friday.

Please remember to have your garbage properly secured and placed out by 6:00 a.m. on your regular pickup day.

🚫 BURN BAN NOTICE🚫

Effective March 31, 2026, a burn ban is now in place for Clay County for the next 30 days.

During this time, all outdoor burning is prohibited due to current conditions that increase the risk of wildfires and uncontrolled fires.

This includes, but is not limited to:
• Burning debris
• Brush piles
• Yard waste
• Campfires and open flames
• Controlled or prescribed burns (including fields, wooded areas, and land clearing)

These measures are being put in place to protect residents, property, and emergency personnel.

We ask all citizens to please comply with this order and use caution during this period.

Failure to comply may result in fines or other penalties.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping keep Clay County safe.

The Board of Supervisors extends its deepest condolences following the passing of District 2 Supervisor, Daryl Thomas.

Supervisor Thomas faithfully served the citizens of Clay County, and his contributions to the community will be remembered with gratitude and respect.

We extend our heartfelt prayers and sympathies to his family, friends, and all those impacted by this loss.

Additional information, including service arrangements, will be shared as it becomes available and with the family’s approval.
