Thanks to everyone for your prayers and support during this campaign. Although I did not get elected this time around, I am extremely happy for those who were re-elected and elected in office to serve our amazing citizens and city.

Remember that strength is for service not status. We should use our God given gifts to uplift and help those around us.

I pray that I am able to use my gifts in a greater capacity to serve the citizens of West Point, that will leave a positive lasting impact for generations to come.

I believe that hard work and a good education is important for the success of our city and that are children are our greatest assets.

In 2018 I worked alongside Dr. Lacey Southerland, who at the time was the Director of Early Childhood Education at Point University and under the direction of Mayor Steve Trammel to start CELA (Chattahoochee Early Learning Academy). Per our Mayor, the goal was to improve our 3rd grade reading levels which could have significant impact on attracting new industry in our community.

CELA provides opportunities for underprivileged children in our community to have access to learning at little to no cost to families.

We faced many challenges getting started, especially during the pandemic, however through perseverance and some creative thinking, we were able to successfully overcome our challenges and work to ensure a brighter future for our children. A program that started with only a handful of children has now served nearly 40 families in our city and surrounding areas.

I ask that when you go to the polls this year, consider what education means for the future of this city and who can help take us to the next level.

It’s tough to go by everyone’s house, but I really want to hear from you on this. Look forward to hearing from you all!

I don’t know what year it was but these photos are from a build by the Fuller Center and the first where we built three homes for several families at one time. You can tell it was some time ago because I barely had facial hair.

I was tired after a long day of working in the heat but it was so rewarding to know that people I have never met were going to be blessed with a new home that was beautiful, clean, and safe for their family to live in.

These accomplishments are possible because of our community’s willingness to work together, and to do something that had never been done. This project ties into my BIG 3 values of community, collaboration, and innovation. As City Council, I will always work with the community to ensure that we have a better and brighter future for everyone.
