The city can now accept recycling items at the transfer station again. Those items include newspaper, magazines, cardboard, and plastics. No glass.

On April 3, 2026, the City was notified that its recycling service provider would cease operations effective April 10, 2026. As a result, the City will be temporarily unable to accept recyclable materials until further notice.
We appreciate the community’s understanding, as this change was beyond the City’s control. Updates will be provided as additional information becomes available.

The City will conduct its monthly siren test on Monday, April 6, at 1:00 p.m. The tornado siren is designed to alert individuals who are outdoors when a tornado has been sighted in the area.

The City is planning to flush the low side of the water system beginning Monday, March 30th at 8:00 am. This is typically everything from approximately Monitor St. west. This could continue until 4:00 pm. If you can refrain from water use during this time you will minimize the chance of getting discolored water. If you experience discolored water during this time it should clear up within several hours. If there are any questions please call 402-372-2466.
