Launch into the Week

Honor of Patriot Day, September 11, the Richards Art Club is proud to partner with The Battery Station and Salutes to host our "Snacks and Smiles for Soldiers" donation drive! We are collecting snacks, goodies, and homemade cards to pack up and send to local troops currently deployed in the Middle East.

How You Can Help: We are accepting donations between now and September 11th. Please drop off items at the front office, or art students can bring directly to the Art Room.

Requested Items:
--Tasty Treats: Hard candy, nuts, trail mix, granola bars, chewing gum
--Entertainment: Playing cards, dominoes, magazines, books
--Smiles: Homemade cards, drawings, or notes of encouragement from students!

This project is a meaningful way for our Rockets to show gratitude, lift spirits, and let our local service members know their hometown is thinking of them.

Thank you for helping us send a little piece of home to these incredible heroes!

Reminder from Richards! In honor of Labor Day, there is no school Monday, September 7. We hope everyone will enjoy the three day weekend ahead!

We are so excited to present our August nonprofit winner of $1000 to Richards Elementary Tinker Lab. They have some exciting plans on what they will be purchasing with these funds and we can’t wait to see the results.

Lady Rockets Softball Schedule for the week of August 31st - September 4th

Monday, Aug 31st - Practice until 4:30.

Tuesday, September 1st - Practice until 4:30

Wednesday, September 2nd - Practice until 4:30

Thursday, September 3rd - Game Day at Fairview with A Team starting at 9:00am and B Team to follow.
*Players will be bused back to Richards after games if not already checked out to follow their normal after school routine

Friday, September 4th - NO after school practice. 6th - 8th grades will practice last hour.

**Parents if you are unable to pick your student up at the sports complex after practice they will be bused back to Richard’s School for pickup.
