25 years later, we still remember the lives that were taken, the families who were forever changed, and the heroes who ran toward the danger when everyone else was running away.
Firefighters. Police officers. Paramedics. Dispatchers. Military members. Nurses. Doctors, And countless ordinary Americans who did extraordinary things.
On that morning, our nation was reminded of something powerful:
When Americans are hurting, Americans answer the call.
We run toward the smoke.
We answer the radio.
We climb aboard.
We bring help to those who need it most.
From the streets of New York to the fields and back roads of rural America, the mission remains the same — care for our neighbors when they need us most.
Today, Air Evac Lifeteam remembers the 2,977 innocent lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice trying to save others.
We remember the heroes.
We remember the families.
We remember the sacrifice.
