The City of West Plains will conduct a test of the outdoor storm sirens at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 14. This is only a test.

Routine testing helps ensure the sirens are functioning properly and ready to alert the community in the event of severe weather or other emergencies.

If severe weather is present in the area at the time of the scheduled test, the siren test will be postponed.

Our new portable radios, mobile radios for the fire apparatus and pagers have officially arrived and are in service as of today, allowing us to transition to the more reliable and efficient MOSWIN system. This upgrade will improve communication, response times, and overall service to our community—something we take great pride in.
