At any given moment, EMS personnel and other public safety workers can find themselves in harm's way. While every call carries some level of risk, some incidents present greater dangers than others.
One such call occurred when our crew responded to a motor vehicle accident that posed significant hazards to both the patient and everyone on scene. Upon arrival, EMTs Tom Hicks and Rhaquinda Guy, along with Paramedic Nick Dooley, acted quickly and made critical decisions that helped ensure a positive outcome in what could have been a very different situation.
We are proud of the professionalism, teamwork, and commitment demonstrated by this crew, as well as all those involved in this response. Their actions exemplify the dedication and courage displayed by emergency responders every day.
