MPO staff joined Safe Kids Palm Beach County at Woodlands Middle School last week for a helmet fitting event, where students who rode their bicycles to school received free helmets and had them properly fitted. The event provided a great opportunity to remind students about the importance of wearing a helmet every time they ride. ๐Ÿšฒ

Thank you to Safe Kids Palm Beach County for helping promote bicycle safety and keeping young riders protected!

Palm Beach MPO staff recently participated in a regional tour of the MetroExpress Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor in South Dade, hosted by the Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works.

Principal Multimodal Planner Nathan George represented the Palm Beach MPO alongside members of the SFRTA Planning Technical Advisory Committee (PTAC) from Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties. The tour provided a firsthand look at MetroExpress operations, facilities, and connections to the broader South Florida transit network.

Regional coordination and peer learning help advance a connected, efficient transportation network by providing insight into how transit investments are planned and integrated across county lines.
