Take Stock in Children Palm Beach County Three Programs, One Mission: Take Stock in Children PBC & TradeUp unite as College for Kids, Inc.

Together, we build a seamless 6th–12th grade, postsecondary pathway with scholarships, college tours & trade experiences for underserved Palm Beach students. Since its inception in 1995, Take Stock in Children has positively impacted the lives of over 18,000 children statewide throughout 67 counties. Over 7,500 mentors have volunteered with our program and in Palm Beach County alone we have awarded over $8 Million in scholarship funds. TSIC Palm Beach is proud to have graduated over 1,200 children considered ‘high-risk’ of drop-out, and currently has over 300 students enrolled and on track for success. Clearly addressing the high school drop-out crisis, and college attainment, Take Stock in Children continues to report an unparalleled high school graduation rate of 92% and a college enrollment rate of 81%. Students are identified in middle and high school and must sign a contract pledging to remain drug and crime free, meet with their mentor weekly and maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.3 or greater. Students fulfilling their contractual obligations receive a full tuition scholarship upon high school graduation. If you would like to become a mentor, please email us at [email protected].

Stock the Cellars. One Mission, Limitless Potential.

College For Kids is excited to announce that U.S. Bank Private Wealth Management's 6th Annual Stock the Cellars, presented by Florida Crystals, returns to the Sailfish Club Palm Beach on Friday, November 6, 2026, for an evening of jazz, community, auction, and support for local students on their path to education. 🥂🎷

By supporting Stock the Cellars, you are supporting local students in our underserved Palm Beach community who have dreams of college or trade school and who cannot do it without your help. Funds raised through this event provide two-year college and vocational scholarships for these students, as well as mentoring, academic guidance, and career opportunities that prepare them for success in college, the skilled trades, and their eventual careers.

College For Kids would like to give a HUGE thank you to our supporters and community partners for helping us open doors, create opportunities, and build brighter futures for our students.

What a way to kick off the school year! 💙

Our largest Student Success Kickoff Event yet welcomed more than 350 College for Kids students and their families to Palm Beach Lakes High School!

Students had the chance to learn more about everything College For Kids offers throughout their journey, from support in the classroom to preparing for college, careers, and what comes next. Mentors also joined their mentees to connect and start the new school year together.

🎒 The first 50 students received backpacks filled with school supplies, and 💻 the first 25 received laptops to help them start the year strong.

A huge THANK YOU to our community partners for helping make this event such a success: Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County, United Way of Palm Beach County, Florida Atlantic University, Digital Vibez, Inc, Pahokee O’s Shaved Ice, and Chick-fil-A.

We loved sitting down with Peter Ricci, Director of Hospitality & Tourism Management at Florida Atlantic University, to talk about ways we might work together and create new opportunities for
College for Kids students.

Peter brings so much experience in the hospitality industry, but what really stood out was his passion for working with students and helping them explore what’s possible.
