Angelina W. is the powerhouse behind the scenes who keeps SEIU FPSU moving forward through her work in Operations. For nearly two decades, Angelina has helped strengthen our union and support the hardworking families of Florida—often in ways most people never see, but everyone benefits from.

Angelina is union because of her son—and for every family that needs a voice and real support. She believes that when people work hard, they deserve better pay, safer workplaces, dignity on the job, and respect—not just promises.

Being part of a union matters because it means we don’t have to face workplace challenges alone. A union creates collective power—the power to negotiate, to protect one another, and to build a better future for our families and our communities.
And it takes people like Angelina to make that power real. She’s one of the heroes working day and night—supporting members, helping the union run smoothly, and ensuring the work gets done so that members can focus on what matters most: their jobs, their families, and their lives.

Thank you, Angelina, for your dedication, your heart, and your years of service to Florida’s working families. 💪🏽

Just as a seed must endure the darkness of the soil to find the strength to bloom, your difficulties are the fires that shape your soul into a more powerful form, refining your patience and resilience.

Public Sector Workers in Florida

No corrupt politician in Tallahassee can decide who has the right to fight for fair wages, our working conditions, our retirement security, our healthcare, our seniority and our benefits and who do not.

We are hard-working people who work day and night to keep our cities and schools running.

We are not going to let them take it away from us.

Stand together
Fight back

What would you do to help your fellow workers organize?

In the summer of 1975, Cesar Chavez trekked more than 1,000 miles in 59 days up the CA coast in order to educate farm workers about their newly won right to unionize following the passage of the California Agricultural Labor Relations Act.

Don’t worry. isn’t proposing a 1,000 mile trek… but we do need all hands on deck for negotiations.

Everything is on the line, so attend a town hall and learn more about how you can get involved.
