🌟 Employee Spotlight: Natasha Layton

Meet Natasha Layton, Case Manager II with the Palm Beach County Community Services Department’s Division of Human Services.

With more than 30 years of service to Palm Beach County, Natasha has supported our community through roles in Youth Affairs, Head Start, and Community Services. Throughout her career, one thing has remained constant: her passion for helping people and families.

Today, Natasha works in the Rapid Rehousing Program, where she assists families experiencing homelessness as they work toward stability and self-sufficiency.

In recent months, Natasha has helped identify and connect multiple clients with partner agencies offering Permanent Supportive Housing, helping individuals and families take important steps toward more stable futures. 🏠💙

For Natasha, the most rewarding part of her work is seeing the people she serves overcome challenges and find a path forward.

Her belief that everyone deserves a chance at hope and inspiration is reflected in the compassion and dedication she brings to her work each day.

After more than three decades of serving Palm Beach County, Natasha continues to do what she loves: working with people, supporting families, and helping create opportunities for brighter futures.

🍽️ More Than a Meal

A healthy meal nourishes the body—but sharing it with friends can nourish the spirit. ❤️

Through the Palm Beach County Community Services Department’s Nutrition Program, older adults can enjoy nutritious meals while connecting with friends, staying active, accessing resources and building meaningful relationships within their community.

Breakfast and lunch are served Monday–Friday at our three senior centers, with more than 13 congregate meal sites located throughout Palm Beach County. For seniors who are unable to prepare meals or shop for groceries, the Home Delivered Meal Program provides additional support.

Because nutrition is about more than food. It’s about health, connection, dignity and belonging.

🌟 More than a meal. It’s an investment in our seniors.

🏆 Nourishing Our Seniors, Strengthening Our Community

Healthy food. Trusted connections. Greater independence. 💚

Through a strategic partnership between Palm Beach County’s Division of Senior & Veteran Services and the Palm Beach County Food Bank, the Food and Nutrition Program is making nutritious groceries more accessible to older adults across Palm Beach County.

By bringing food directly to County senior centers and other trusted community locations, the program meets seniors where they are—while connecting them to more than just food.

Participants can also access case management, benefits assistance, wellness programs, and other supportive services that help promote health, independence, and quality of life.

And the program continues to grow!

📍 11 Mobile Sites
📍 8 Senior Hunger Initiative Sites
📍 100+ Partner Marketplace Sites
📍 8 Soup Kitchens planned for expansion

This expanding network is helping extend the program’s reach to communities throughout Palm Beach County and ensuring that more older adults have access to the resources they need.

This national recognition celebrates more than an innovative program—it recognizes a commitment to reducing food insecurity, supporting aging in place, and ensuring our older adults receive the care, connection, and dignity they deserve.

Because when we nourish our seniors, we strengthen our entire community. 💚

💚 Community Impact Series: “This Center Makes a Big Difference in People’s Lives.”

For Ruth, a regular participant at the North County Senior Center, those words say it all.

“This center makes a big difference in people’s lives.”

Ruth especially enjoys the many activities available at the center, including the Knitting and Crocheting Club, Wii bowling, and field trips. Like so many older adults who participate at our senior centers, she has found a place to socialize, stay active, explore new interests, and build meaningful connections.

And the impact extends across Palm Beach County.

This National Senior Center Month, we’re shining a light on our three County senior centers and the opportunities they provide for older adults to connect, engage, learn, and thrive.

5217 N. Australian Avenue
West Palm Beach, FL 33407

📍 Mid County Senior Center
3680 Lake Worth Road

📍 West County Senior Center

Our senior centers are more than places to participate in activities—they are places to belong. 💚

Whether it’s learning a new skill, joining a club, taking a field trip, staying active, or simply enjoying time with friends, there’s an opportunity waiting for you.

This National Senior Center Month, come see what your senior center has to offer!
