The GFWC Greater West Palm Beach Women's Club is pleased to announce JeffAnne Pike was installed as President of the GFWC Greater West Palm Beach Women’s Club for the 2026–2028 term. District 10 Director Jean Allen officiated the installation ceremony. JeffAnne accepted the role with a spirit of service and dedication, reaffirming the club’s commitment to volunteerism, leadership, and making a positive impact in the community. 📚✨ 100 Years of Greenacres: Royalty, Rain, and the Gift of Reading! ✨📚
​Yesterday, members of the GFWC Greater West Palm Beach Woman's Club had an absolutely unforgettable time celebrating the City of Greenacres 100th Birthday Bash at Samuel J. Ferreri Community Park! 🎂🎈
​Our dedicated volunteers set up a booth to distribute free books to children and adults in the community. The day was filled with amazing connections. A major highlight was the true honor of meeting the great-great-grandson of Greenacres founder, L.C. Swain! Born right here in Palm Beach County and a lifelong resident of Greenacres, it was a pure pleasure hearing his stories and celebrating his family's incredible legacy with him. 🌳📜
​Our book giveaway booth also drew some very special guests! We were thrilled to welcome a member of Congress, a Florida State Legislature representative, and a news reporter from Channel 25. All were given a quick introduction of our club, sharing the rich history of both our GFWC international organization and our local Greater West Palm Beach Woman's Club.
​Throughout the day, we had delightful conversations with so many wonderful neighbors from Greenacres and all across Palm Beach County. And while Mother Nature decided to throw a little Florida rain our way, our members jumped right into action, protecting the books from the showers and keeping the smiles bright! 🌦️💪
​Thank you to everyone who stopped by to chat, grab a book, and celebrate a century of community with us. We are so proud to serve this city!

Big Hearts, Warm Meals: Serving Our Community! 🍲❤️

​We are so incredibly proud of our community members who stepped up this week to support St. George’s Resource Center!

​It was a true team effort from start to finish:

👉 On Tuesday (May 19th), 10 of our dedicated members rolled up their sleeves, gathered in the kitchen, and lovingly prepped and cooked 136 nutritious meals.

👉 Today, Wednesday (May 20th), 5 of our members and 2 wonderful guests headed over to St. George's to serve those hot meals directly to neighbors experiencing homelessness.

​Providing 136 meals is no small feat, and it goes so much deeper than just food—it’s about delivering comfort, dignity, and a reminder that our community cares.

​A massive THANK YOU to all the members and guests who donated their time, energy, and culinary talents to make this project such a beautiful success. You truly embody the spirit of service! 🌟

We had a fantastic turnout with 12 members attending our recent tour of the Palm Beach County Library System's Canyon Branch!
​A huge thank you to Michelle, who provided us with an incredibly informative look inside this beautiful 33,000-square-foot facility. Here are just a few of the amazing resources we discovered:
• ​Creative Space & Makerspace: Fully stocked with craft supplies, sewing machines, and Cricut machines.
• ​CreationStation & Media Room: A specialized recording studio for audio and digital media production, plus equipment to convert old VCR recordings into digital files!
• ​Expansive Layout: A massive children's room, a welcoming teen room, and a large meeting room that can host up to 300 people.
​If you get the chance, you definitely want to visit this impressive branch!

We had the absolute best time at Pig Beach Barbecue! 🌟

​The Epicurean Eats crew was out in full force—5 members and 3 guests shared a massive spread of smoked meats and classic sides. It was the perfect blend of great food and awesome company. A huge welcome to our guests; we hope to see you at the next table!

Our members attended the 2026 Spring Fling Women’s Health Luncheon sponsored by Jupiter Medical Center. It was held May 15 2026 at the Admirals Cove Club in Jupiter. Erin Guy from WPBF was the emcee and it featured a panel of 5 excellent doctors who covered topics including gyn, cardiac, lung, breast, and cancer prevention.

The GFWC Greater West Palm Beach Woman’s Club met to create over 200 handmade cards for our soldiers.

​We are so grateful to everyone who attended, especially Valerie G for her incredible individual contribution of 100+ cards. After crafting, the group enjoyed a great lunch at Lucilles Bad to the Bone BBQ.

A massive thank you to our amazing community for supporting the Jr. Project One More Child.

​We are so proud to announce that we collected 175 pairs of socks, 71 pairs of underwear, and 24 bras! These essentials are going to make such a difference. Thank you to all the ladies who donated—your kindness is truly inspiring. ❤️

We have officially returned from the GFWC Florida State Convention! This event marked a significant transition for our organization as the preceding administration concluded its term of service. We joined our fellow members in honoring the outgoing statwe board members for their dedication and warmly welcoming the newly installed state officers as they begin their new term.
A special highlight of the convention was the installation of our very own club president as our District Director.. We are so proud to see her take on this leadership role for our district!
Our club was also honored to be recognized for our hard work, receiving awards in the following categories:

*Civic Engagement
* **Newsletters**
* **ESO** (Epsilon Sigma Omicron)
* **State President’s Project**
* **Arts and Crafts**
It was a wonderful experience connecting with Federation members from across the state. We are grateful for the leadership provided by our outgoing state board members and look forward to the vision of our newly installed state officers and our new District Director in the term ahead.
