***SCAM ALERT***

We have been alerted that some voucher holders are receiving emails from people impersonating WPBHA staff. These emails request urgent payment of a security deposit to a landlord to secure a new property. To check that an email you receive from your Housing Choice Voucher Specialist is legitimate check the email address. Emails originating from the WPBHA will be sent from addresses that end in .org only. WPBHA staff will never correspond with you via emails from any other accounts (e.g. .com, .com) or from addresses where the WPBHA appears before the @ sign (e.g. [email protected]). If you receive one of these emails please delete it immediately and notify your Housing Choice Voucher Specialist.
