On May 1, 1991, Palm Beach County’s Trauma System took flight and carried out its first life-saving mission. Since then, the nationally-recognized Trauma System overseen by the Health Care District of Palm Beach County has treated more than 60,200 people, providing rapid-response care for more than 3,300 traumatically-injured patients each year.
