Officer Perez took a few minutes to show two Glades Central football players how to tie a tie. Sometimes it’s the simple things that make the best memories. A little patience, a few tries, and before you know it, they’ve got it! 💙

September is National Preparedness Month! 🚨

Over the weekend, PBC School Police attended the Community Preparedness Event at Royal Palm Beach High School. Our Emergency Operations Division and Community Engagement Division joined other public safety partners to help families prepare for hurricanes, severe weather, flooding, and other emergencies.

The event featured preparedness resources, giveaways, emergency vehicle displays, demonstrations, and information on building a disaster supply kit.

Prepare today, stay ready for tomorrow.

🇺🇸 Throughout Palm Beach County, schools have held ceremonies to honor the lives lost and remember September 11, 2001.

This morning, members of our command staff and department attended Forest Hill High School’s 9/11 Ceremony, one of several observances our department has been honored to attend across the county.

We are grateful to FHHS for continuing this important tradition.

🇺🇸 This morning, members of the Palm Beach County School Police Department joined the Village of Wellington for its 25th Anniversary 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony.

Among those in attendance were several of our officers who served with the NYPD on September 11, 2001, and responded to Ground Zero in the days that followed. The lasting impact of that service is still felt today, a reminder that the sacrifices connected to September 11 extended far beyond that day.

Their presence brought a deeply personal meaning to today’s ceremony and to the remembrance of all who served, sacrificed, and were forever changed.🇺🇸

As we remember the lives lost and the countless acts of courage on September 11, 2001, we also recognize members of the Palm Beach County School Police Department whose service is forever connected to that day.

Their willingness to answer the call during one of our nation’s darkest moments reflects a level of courage and service that will never be forgotten. Today, we are proud to have them serving alongside us and continuing to protect our schools and students.

Chief Mooney had the opportunity to serve as a guest speaker today at the Installation Ceremony for the newest student leaders of the Glades Central High School Criminal Justice Academy.

The ceremony marked an important moment for students taking on new roles within the academy and recognized their willingness to step forward as leaders among their peers.
