Spring is a good time to check your vesselโ€™s safety gear. Make sure you have enough life jackets that fit everyone who will be riding on your vessel and more importantly make sure everyone wears a life jacket.

Be aware of rip currents and ALWAYS swim at a lifeguarded beach during their working hours!! At lifeguarded beaches there are flags that indicate ocean conditions.

A high rip current risk is in effect through Monday evening for all coastal Palm Beach County. Rip current risk is expected to remain high throughout the rest of the week.

GREAT NEWS! ๐ŸŽ‰ The 2026 session has come to an end and our Drowning Education proposal SB 428, providing new parents critical water safety information AND expanding Floridaโ€™s child swim lesson voucher program to ages 1-7, has passed both the House and Senate!

Thanks to all the advocates who helped make this happen and to our House partners Representative Anna V. Eskamani and Rep. Kim Kendall and Senator Clay Yarborough who worked together to merge this all into one legislative package.

The bill soon heads to the Governor for a signature. ๐ŸŠโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ง

No splashing. No yelling. Quick, silent, and deadly.

Drowning does not happen like you see in the movies. Victims often just slip away. It is vital to always have multiple barriers between you and any water that can pose a threat.

Drowning happens in a flash, Think Splash:
