💗 Clarifying Our Breast Cancer Walkathon Efforts 💗

We’d like to share a quick update about our Breast Cancer Awareness Walkathon! A few weeks ago, we reached out to The Connie Dwyer Breast Cancer Foundation to explore a partnership opportunity. While we’re still waiting to hear back, please know that a percentage of the funds raised will still be donated in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness — whether directly through the foundation or in the name of our school’s PTA.

Our goal has always been to make this event both meaningful and transparent. The West Orange Police Department kindly joined us in support, and Officer Karen even helped guide us on the best way to process our donation check.

For many of us, including myself, this cause is deeply personal — my stepmother is a breast cancer survivor, and bringing this event to our school community means a lot to me and my family. It’s a tradition that reflects our values of compassion, unity, and giving back.

If anyone has questions or would like more information about the donation process, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you all for making this event such a special and heartfelt success! 💕🎀

💧THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART💧

I am so deeply grateful to every parent who stepped up and helped with the water donations today. Because of your kindness and generosity — delivering to my house and to the school — we now have 22 cases of water ready for our kids tomorrow. 💖

When I sent out the message, I was worried we wouldn’t have enough. But, as always, this amazing community came through. Your support reminds me why I love being part of EMS — it’s the heart and care of our families that make everything possible.

Thank you for showing up, for caring, and for making sure our kids have what they need. You’ve truly turned a moment of stress into one of gratitude and love. 🫶
— Helena.

💧 WATER DONATION NEEDED 💧

Friends, I really need your help. We don’t have enough water for tomorrow’s Walkathon — right now, I only have 2 cases for 450 kids.

This isn’t for the PTA or the school — it’s for our kids. Every bottle makes a difference. I’m doing everything I can to make sure our kids have a great year full of fun and memorable events, but I can’t do it alone.

Our children deserve to enjoy these moments without worry, and your help — no matter how small — means the world. If you can donate even a case of water, please reach out or drop it off at EMS tomorow before 9 am. 💖

Together, we can make this happen for them. Thank you for always showing up for our kids. 🙏

10/20/2025

IMPORTANT NOTE: To all parents who generously donated water for the walkathon, please ensure it’s delivered today or by 9am tomorrow before the walkathon, we need it to energize our students at the table. Thank you so much for taking the time and supplying the kids with water.

Administration News:
Hispanic Heritage Month: Today is the last day of Hispanic Heritage Month. The last person we will spotlight is Frida Kahlo. Frida Kahlo was a Mexican 🇲🇽 painter known for her vibrant, uncompromising, and brilliantly colored symbolic self-portraits. As a child, she suffered a bout of polio that left her with a slight limp, a chronic ailment she would endure throughout her life. Kahlo was especially close to her father, a professional photographer, and frequently assisted him in his studio, where she acquired a sharp eye for detail. Although Kahlo took some drawing classes, she was more interested in science. In 1922, she entered the National Preparatory School in Mexico City with the intention of eventually studying medicine.
