Today we pause to honor and remember.

Twenty-five years ago, the world watched as our nation faced unimaginable tragedy. Mothers, fathers, children, coworkers, and friends whose lives were taken far too soon. Passengers who showed incredible courage. First responders who gave everything they had so that others could make it home. Each and every one of them had a story, a family, and a life full of purpose and love.

No words will ever fully capture the weight of what was lost on September 11, 2001, but we will never stop trying to honor it. Today, we hold every life in our hearts and carry them forward with us.

Never forget.
