The Ottawa Conservation District (link in comments) is a local unit of government that manages our natural resources. It's directed by a Board that guides its work and provides oversight over annual goals, financials, program directions, etc. (2) Board positions are up for re-election. There are (4) candidates.

Rivka Hodgkinson & Kelly Goward are proven conservation professionals who need your vote. The other (2) candidates are backed by an OI Commissioner (see comments).

The State mandates that the District runs its own elections. This election is NOT run by our county clerk's office. All Ottawa County residents over the age of 18 are eligible to vote.

Vote NOW until March 10th at 4:00 pm. In person at the Conservation District office is best. It takes just a few minutes. Conservation District elections are often won by only 1 or 2 votes. Vote now to help preserve our natural resources.
