500 students and teachers from Whitehall Elementary School after an exciting Field Day on one of the hottest days of the year! ☀️🍧🍦

Officer DiNolfi had a great time handing out water ice, ice pops, and popsicles to everyone after a fun-filled day of activities. Seeing the smiles on the students’ faces made the day even more special.

We truly appreciate the opportunity to be involved with Whitehall Elementary School and value the strong relationships we continue to build with the students, teachers, and staff.

Working with the kids and supporting our schools is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.

Thank you to Whitehall Elementary for allowing us to be part of such a great day in the community!

On May 19, 2026, at Montgomery Cemetery in West Norriton Township.

Sgt. Oreo of The West Norriton Police Department organized and partnered with volunteers from the 111th Communications Squadron at Biddle Air National Guard Base to assist with cemetery restoration and cleanup efforts. Officer Michalski from WNPD also assisted during the event alongside numerous community volunteers and organizations.

During the project, volunteers successfully cut down and removed five trees, repaired 20 tombstones, and assisted with the restoration of several additional grave markers throughout Montgomery Cemetery.

The West Norriton Police Department extends its sincere appreciation to all volunteers, organizations, and community members who contributed their time, equipment, and effort to help preserve and maintain this historic cemetery for future generations.

🦌 BABY FAWNS ARE NOT ABANDONED 🦌

The West Norriton Police Department would like to remind residents that if you come across a baby deer (fawn) lying alone, the best thing you can do is LEAVE IT ALONE.

According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, mother deer often leave their fawns hidden for hours at a time while they forage for food nearby. This is a natural survival tactic called the “hider strategy,” and in most cases the mother WILL return.

❌ PLEASE DO NOT:
• Touch or move the fawn
• Attempt to feed it
• Bring it into your home
• Assume it has been abandoned

Handling wildlife can cause unnecessary stress, expose humans and animals to disease, and may prevent the animal from surviving in the wild. It is also illegal in Pennsylvania to remove wildlife from its natural environment without proper authorization.

✅ WHAT YOU SHOULD DO:
• Keep children and pets away
• Observe from a distance
• Leave the area quietly
• Contact the Pennsylvania Game Commission
ONLY if the animal is clearly injured, in immediate danger, or the mother has not returned after an extended period of time

If you believe a fawn is truly injured or orphaned, contact the Pennsylvania Game Commission at 1-833-PGC-WILD.

Remember: if you care, leave it there. 🦌

During his years of service, Officer Nadwodny demonstrated dedication, professionalism, and a deep commitment to protecting the residents of West Norriton. He was more than a police officer, he was a respected colleague, trusted friend, and valued member of our law enforcement family.

His contributions to this department, the Montgomery County law enforcement community, and the citizens he served will not be forgotten. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Officer Nadwodny’s family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched throughout his career.

🚨🐕 FOUND: ONE VERY SUSPICIOUS GOOD BOY 🐕🚨

West Norriton Police Officers responded to reports of a large suspect roaming near Forest Ave & Marshall St. Upon arrival, officers encountered this German Shepherd, who was traveling without identification, resisting absolutely nothing, and aggressively demanding belly rubs from law enforcement personnel.

The suspect refused to answer questions, attempted to flee the scene at speeds reaching “zoomie level,” and showed clear signs of being involved in unauthorized hot dog activity.

After a brief foot pursuit (officers walking slightly faster than normal), he was safely taken into custody and transported to the SPCA where he is currently awaiting bail in the form of treats and a ride home.

If you recognize this furry criminal mastermind, please contact the SPCA immediately before he convinces the staff he actually works there.

Please share and help reunite this escaped household employee with his family. 🐾🚔

Happy Mother’s Day from all of us at the West Norriton Police Department! 💙🚔

Today we celebrate the moms who somehow manage to be dispatchers, detectives, cooks, chauffeurs, counselors, referees, and superheroes, all before 9 AM. 😄

Moms are the real first responders:
“Mom, where’s my homework?”
“Mom, he touched me!”
“Mom, there’s a bug in my room!”
“Mom, I don’t feel good…”

And somehow… they always know exactly what to do.

To all the mothers, grandmothers, stepmothers, foster moms, pet moms, and mother figures in our community, thank you for the love, strength, patience, and sacrifices you make every single day.

We hope today brings you lots of smiles, relaxation, and maybe even a hot cup of coffee that stays hot. ☕💐

Happy Mother’s Day! 🌷
