One of the ways Ronald McDonald House serves more families even when there's a long waitlist is by using day use in our in-hospital programs. Day use of a Ronald McDonald House program includes hot showers, access to laundry facilities, snacks and meals, and programs that connect your family with others going through similar troubles.

This Family Friday, we thought we would highlight one of the moms who was a regular face at Ronald McDonald House Family Room: UAMS while baby Kar'Mani, born at only 26 weeks, got stronger in the NICU.

"There were times I wasn’t able to afford food and the Ronald McDonald House helped with that need every time," mom says. "I could sit in there however long I wanted and just communicate with other parents about their journey. It was definitely a supportive community."

Mom's favorite part was a hot shower on a long day and being able to "be light" with others going through similar struggles. Day use is an important way that families can still use facilities within Ronald McDonald House when they need it most, and we are so happy that gracious donors make it possible.
