National EMS Week is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the dedicated emergency medical professionals who provide lifesaving care and support to our community every day. Whether responding to emergencies, delivering critical pre-hospital care, or serving alongside other public safety partners, EMS personnel play an essential role in keeping our community safe. EMS Week also serves as a reminder of the collaboration and teamwork that strengthen patient care and improve outcomes.
This year’s National EMS Week theme, “Improving Outcomes, Together,” highlights the impact of partnerships between EMS professionals, healthcare systems, dispatchers, public safety agencies, and the communities they serve.
At the West Monroe Fire Department, that commitment is reflected in a highly trained team consisting of 1 Emergency Medical Responder (EMR), 37 Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs), 3 Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians (AEMTs), and 4 Paramedics. In addition, five team members are currently furthering their education through Paramedic Programs.
The City of West Monroe is grateful for the EMTs, paramedics, and emergency medical professionals whose commitment, compassion, and service make a difference each and every day. Thank you for answering the call and caring for our community!🚑
