The Village was surveyed in 1835 by Hirum Davis and incorporated in 1874. A fire in 1922 destroyed the early records. The Town Hall is located at 4678 E. It is a small gray building with the old school bell in front. Phone # 419-288-3333 Fax # 419-288-4303

The Census of 2010 proclaims the village to have 174 people. The Mayor is Nickolas Strickland
The Fiscal Officer is Angela Kimble
The Solicitor is Jeffrey Dennis
Council members are Todd Kimble, Kathy Dieterle, Zack Hostettler, Ken Kline, and Terri Litton

Village Services:

Village Council Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the town hall at 7:00 p.m. The Village has a food distribution every third Thursday of the month, for those who qualify that is overseen by Ohio Job and Family Services. Recycling: Offered at Perry Township site every second Saturday morning 9:00-Noon. Tree Commission: If you have a tree problem in your boulevard area, call Village Hall at 419-288-3333. There is a park, located behind the Town Hall with a large play gym and a toddler's play area.

A new trash hopper will be dropped off in the morning. The one down there now is full please dont add more to it to make a mess all over.

Want to let everyone know that im having a trash hopper brought in on 9/10/26-9/12-26 but will be picked up around noon on the 12th same rules apply as before no metal in the hopper there will be a trailer setting here for the metal. ABSOLUTELY NO TIRES AT ALL. If I see anyone putting tires I will take them back out and put them back on your property. If we fill a hopper I can call and have another brought out so with that in mind please dont keep throwing trash on top when it is full. Most people in the village know how to get ahold of myself or a Council member and we can try to get another one brought out.

Trash hopper will be closed off at 5pm or possibly before cause it has very little room to put anything else and don't want trash blowing around. thanks for using the trash hoppers and working on cleaning up the village!
