Bokescreek Fire/EMS Dept The Bokescreek Fire/EMS Department is an all volunteer department that serves the Village of West Mansfield, OH Firefighter or E.M.T.

Meetings are held every Thursday through out the year and training exercises are performed monthly. All members of the Bokescreek Fire Department hold certification as Hazmat Technicians and continue to expand their knowledge with continuing education. We have a high heat index coming at us today and tomorrow, June 10 and 11, 2026.

Temps in the upper 80's to mid 90's with high humidity will give us a heat index of 95 to 100 and make it miserable, and a bit dangerous

Be extra cautious and take precautions to deal with the heat.

If planning to be outdoors for extended periods drink plenty of water, wear light and loose clothing, and take frequent breaks.

Please drive carefully if you have to be out and about. Stop signs are down at the intersection of St Rt 292 and St Rt 47. Also lots of trees and debris on different roadways around the county.

[10:30 PM] The Severe Weather threat is diminishing and the Tornado Watch will expire at 11 PM. Attention turns to repeating showers moving through the area, particularly north of I-70. Localized flooding is possible.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Champaign, Clark, Darke, Logan, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, and Shelby Counties until 9:45 PM EDT. 60 MPH winds and quarter-sized hail are possible. Severe thunderstorms are moving east at 55 MPH. Expect minor hail damage and wind damage to trees and power lines. Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 11:00 PM EDT.
