🚑 EMS Service Update for West Liberty

The City of West Liberty will continue providing Emergency Medical Services (EMS) while the transition to the West Liberty Fire and Rescue Agency remains in progress. Our top priority is making sure there is no disruption in service for our residents and surrounding communities.
The City Council will discuss a proposed extension to the transition timeline at its meeting on June 16, 2026.

Our department has recently seen an increase in traffic-related incidents and citizen complaints. As our community becomes more active during the summer months, we want to remind everyone to slow down and stay alert while traveling through town.

Please remember:
- Come to a complete stop at all marked intersections and stop signs
- Observe posted speed limits and adjust your speed for traffic and road conditions
- Stay vigilant for cyclists, pedestrians, and smaller vehicles that are more common this time of year

With more people out walking, riding bikes, and enjoying the season, a little extra attention behind the wheel can make a big difference.
