Feeling overwhelmed or anxious? Try grounding yourself in the present moment đź’š

The 5-4-3-2-1 technique is a simple way to slow things down and reconnect with your surroundings using your senses. It can help reduce stress, ease anxiety, and bring your focus back to the here and now. You can use this exercise anytime, anywhere when things start to feel like too much.

If you or someone you know needs support, call or text 988 for the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

This month, we’re highlighting community partners making a real difference 💙

Residential Administrators, Inc. is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals at risk of homelessness by helping them access safe, stable housing and essential services. Their work plays an important role in creating a foundation for recovery, stability, and long-term wellness.

Strong communities are built through connection, support, and access to resources- and organizations like this help make that possible.

As we continue moving through this behavioral health transition, we want to keep our community informed every step of the way. We recognize that transitions can create questions for individuals, families, and community partners, and we remain committed to ensuring continued access to quality behavioral health care and support throughout this process.

Coleman Health Services is actively working to establish and expand comprehensive mental health and substance use services for children, adults, and families in Logan and Champaign Counties. Along with developing local services, our focus remains on maintaining and building strong relationships with community partners and creating a coordinated system of care that meets the needs of those we serve.

Our latest Behavioral Health Transition Update includes progress updates, information on service development efforts, and next steps as we continue strengthening behavioral health supports within our communities.

We are grateful for the continued collaboration, support, and partnership from our community. Together, we can create a stronger and more sustainable system of care.

Struggling with alcohol can feel isolating- but you’re not alone, and support is available.

Sometimes alcohol use starts as a way to cope with stress, anxiety, or difficult emotions. Over time, it can begin to create more challenges than it relieves. Recognizing that is a strong and important first step.

Support can look like:
• Talking to a trusted friend or family member
• Connecting with a counselor or healthcare provider
• Exploring local resources and recovery programs
• Taking small, manageable steps toward change

You don’t have to figure it out on your own. Help is here when you’re ready. Visit our website for more resources.

If you need immediate support, call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

We recognize the importance of this day and encourage our community to take a moment for reflection, gratitude, and remembrance.

If you or someone you know needs support during this time, help is always available. You can call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.

Creating a safety plan doesn’t have to be overwhelming.

When things are calm, you have the opportunity to build trust, open communication, and a plan your child can use when emotions run high. Simple conversations now can make a meaningful difference later.

✔️ Identify trusted people they can reach out to
✔️ Ask what support really looks like for them
✔️ Agree on coping strategies they feel comfortable using
✔️ Practice those skills before they’re needed

These small steps help create a sense of safety, connection, and confidence- for both you and your child.

If you or someone you know needs immediate support, help is available. Call or text 988 to reach the Su***de & Crisis Lifeline.
