Multiple brush fires reported today in the area. DO NOT BURN! High Winds causing even small fires to become uncontrollable.

At 6:32 AM, the West Leechburg VFC was dispatched to Orchard Lane in the borough to a reported house fire. Within minutes the Chief was on scene with the engine/tanker behind him with a crew and cleared the scene fast with the assistance of mutual aid companies before more extensive damage was done.

Everyone made it out safe. Prayers to the family.

Heard a little secret from a little 🐣..

The Easter bunny will be coming around town April 4th! The bunny will be at the borough building/park from 12pm-1pm & will be coming around town 1pm-2pm on the fire truck. 🐰

Congratulations to all the winners yesterday. We also want to thank everyone for this understanding at the beginning of the bash as we adapted to members leaving to fight a brush fire.

Looking for ideas or recommendations of how to “redo” the red carpeting in our Recreation hall that is on the walls. We cannot remove it as we need something for a sound barrier. As much of we love the blast of the past it’s time for a little change! Any ideas are welcomed and appreciated!
