The West Lafayette Rotary Club has now resumed regular club meetings. They will be held at 6:30 on the first and third Wednesdays of each month in the club room, located in the Dale Gress Real Estate building. If you will be attending and wish to have a meal, please let Jay know at the Ridgewood General Store.

Over the past few months, although not meeting due to the virus, the members have continued some of their traditional projects, including flower sales at Christmas and Easter, scholarship for a graduating senior, putting flowers in the flower pots on Main Street, and maintaining the Food Cupboard. They are also continuing to work with the West Lafayette Lions Club on the flag project - installing flags on the front lawns of participating community residents. They are still taking reservations until May 15 if anyone would like a flag. If you are interested, you may call Vic at (740)545-6265 or stop in at the Ridgewood General Store.

Current projects being planned include: maintaining the flowers in the flower pots on Main Street, anticipating a Hog Raffle in the fall, and the possibility of resuming the Blood Screening/Health Fair in the fall. The members also continue to support the national and international efforts of Rotary - particularly the effort to eradicate Polio world-wide.

If you would like to become a member of this local and international civic club, please call Vic at (740)545-6265. You can help make a difference!

Rotarians were at Ridgewood Elementary again this week - this time reading a book to the children that promotes the Rotarian Four-Way Test - “of the things we say and do, is it the truth, is it fair, does it build goodwill, and will it be beneficial to all”. Afterwards each child was given a copy of the book and an activity book that reinforces the story. Thanks today to Catherine Miller, Dan and June Markley, John Riebesel, and Vic Cardenzana.
