Jordan School District Offers FREE Hot Breakfast & Lunch for Children this Summer

Kids can get free hot meals this summer as part of the USDA’s Summer Food Service Program at qualifying Jordan School District Schools. All students 18 years old and younger are welcome to enjoy free breakfast and lunch, Monday through Friday, from June 8 to July 31, excluding June 15, July 3, and July 24.

The free meals will be available at four locations:

• Terra Linda Elementary School, 8400 South Old Bingham Hwy., West Jordan
• Heartland Elementary School, 1451 West 7000 South, West Jordan
• Westvale Elementary School, 2300 West Gardner Lane, West Jordan
• Columbia Elementary School, 3503 West 7800 South, West Jordan

Hours:
• Breakfast service is from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
• Lunch service is from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Adult Prices: Breakfast $2.50 Lunch $4.10

From the classroom to the cosmos! 🚀📐✨

Our advanced STEM students—including members of AP Calculus, AP Physics, and the Mountain Ridge Calc Squad—are in Florida for an incredible, immersive educational experience.

These students have the unique opportunity to bridge the gap between theory and reality, studying the complex physics and calculus behind everything from high-speed amusement park rides to historic space exploration. 🎢🪐

A successful day for our Hospitality & Tourism pathway!

It was wonderful to highlight the amazing things our students have accomplished since our previous Hospitality and Tourism Advisory Board Meeting. We loved collaborating with our board members and sharing fresh ideas to further enhance the Hospitality pathway across Jordan School District.

This week, the Jordan Academy for Technology and Careers (JATC) hosted its Biotech Poster Symposium, where students presented their rigorous, semester-long research projects. From breaking down complex genetic data to tackling real-world scientific challenges, these students proved that the future of medicine and technology is in very capable hands.

The talent in our district is officially next-level. Incredible storytelling, directing, and editing from our talented local students. Huge congratulations to all the student filmmakers who showcased their incredible work at the 2026 Jordan School District Film Showcase!
A massive shoutout to nine outstanding student filmmakers who received a life-changing surprise! The New York Film Academy (NYFA) awarded each of them a $20,000 annual scholarship (totaling $80,000 over four years) to pursue their cinematic dreams!
Let’s give a huge round of applause to our future Hollywood legends: Lauren Crane, Ella Goebel, Jackson Jenkins, Tanner Maruji, Rowan Burgess, Isaiah Rasmussen, Jack Bowler, McKay Bowler, and Ethan Edwards.
