Today was supposed to be the first day Storytime littles would plant flowers in the Library's flowerbeds. Due to the rain and storms, we will not be planting. Storytime will resume as normal today in the Community Room at 10:30 AM! Let's hope for clearer skies on Friday!

The sun is out, and the flowers are blooming! Do you have plants that need splitting, or any you don't want anymore? Bring them to the Plant Swap this Saturday at 11 AM at the Library! The Master Gardener Volunteers of Madison County will also be here to answer any questions you might have.

All ages are welcome to bring and swap plants. You can bring flowers, vegetables, or house plants. The more plants you bring, the more fun we will have!

Registration for the Annual Adult Garden Workshop is now open! Participants will be making Teacup Gardens this year. The event is on Saturday, June 13th, at 11 AM, presented by the Madison County Master Gardener Volunteers. Teacups and wooden centerpieces will be provided, but if you want to bring a bigger plate or a specific teacup, please do!

This educational tool provides full curricula for grades K-5th, including lesson plans, activity guides, and worksheets. For parents who homeschool or need additional resource materials, Educate Station is a great resource. Educate Station can also help public school parents who need additional worksheets or activities to supplement their students' learning. Educate Station may be accessed for free in the library or from home with a library card.

We hope everyone who attended the Princess Tea on Saturday had a wonderful time! On that note, Miss Cassie mentioned the free Mother's Day cards that are available on the counter above the children's DVDs. During the event, one of the sample cards for the upcoming Mother's Day Card Workshop was mistakenly taken from a different endcap. If you have this card with the yellow flowers, posted below, please bring it back to the Library as soon as possible. If you would like to make the card for yourself, you are more than welcome to sign up for the free workshop and make all three!

Spring is here, which means it's time for our Annual Princess Tea! The tables are set, and the backdrop is hung for the young princesses and princes to get their pictures taken with the Ox Roast Royalty after getting their faces painted! There are also crafts, treats, a scavenger hunt, and more!

The Princess Tea open house runs from 11 AM to 1 PM, so if you can't get here right away due to a slow morning or sports, there is plenty of time to join in on the fun!

Are your fingers itching to craft? Spots are still available for the Card Workshop on Saturday, May 2nd, at 11 AM with Vicki! Samples of the cards are available to look at inside the Library.

If you can bring your own craft glue, please do, but don't let it stop you from signing up if you don't have any! Claim your spot by calling the Information Center at 614-879-8448.
