📚 FAMILY LITERACY NIGHT | SEPTEMBER 1, 2026

Dear Helena-West Helena and Phillips County Community,

The Helena-West Helena School District is pleased to invite all parents and guardians with children from birth through age five (0–5) to join us for Family Literacy Night on Tuesday, September 1, 2026.

This is a community event. Children do not have to be enrolled in the Helena-West Helena School District for their families to attend.

One of the most important things we can do for our children is help develop a love of reading at an early age. Family Literacy Night is designed to provide our youngest learners and their families with an enjoyable evening centered on literacy, learning, and meaningful parent-child engagement.

Families will enjoy:

• Dinner
• Interactive learning stations
• Crafts and games
• Take-home learning activities and resources
• Information about Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library

Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, eligible children can receive FREE, age-appropriate books delivered directly to their homes, helping families build home libraries and establish strong reading habits during the critical early years of a child’s development.
