Mark your calendars for April 23, 24, and 25 for the Annual Spring Dumpster Days!

Bring excess household trash to the drop-off location at the R. Kenneth Baldwin Country Park at 2825 W. 3300 S. The drop-off site is open Thursday, April 23 from 3 PM – 10 PM; Friday, April 24 from 7 AM – 10 PM; and Saturday, April 25 from 7 AM –12 PM. Green waste will be accepted on Friday until 10 PM and Saturday until noon at the County Park arena. Tree limbs only! Limbs must be no larger than 5 inches in diameter. Please refrain from bringing the following items: asbestos, free liquid waste, medical waste, sewage or sewage sludge, hazardous waste, or tires.

This event is open to West Haven City residents for disposal of household trash only. City staff may request proof of residence, such as a driver’s license, postmarked U.S. mail, or utility bill.

Street Cleaning Starts March 30

Starting Monday, March 30, Sweep’N’Utah will begin cleaning all the streets in West Haven. To assist with this effort, please keep all items off the streets, including garbage cans. Be sure to bring them in promptly after they are emptied. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated, and we thank you for your patience, as this cleaning process will take approximately two weeks.

UPDATE FROM CENTRAL WEBER SEWER IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT:

During the week of March 30, crews will begin mobilizing equipment and setting up traffic control for the next phase of 1900 West work. Sewer mainline installation will begin near 1700 South and progress southwards to 1800 South.
–Open trenching for sewer pipe installation will be in the southbound 1900 West shoulder.
–Traffic will be shifted to the east side of 1900 West and two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction in the work zone.
–Business access will be maintained. With advance notice, properties on the west side of 1900 West should expect open trenching through driveways. The project team will coordinate individually with each business prior to affecting their driveways.
–A temporary sewer bypass pipe will be in place in work zones.
–Crews plan to work Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. with night and weekend work scheduled as needed.
–Motorists are advised to reduce speeds and watch for lane shifts in the work zone.

🚨 UTA Ticketing Changes Are Coming 🚨

Starting April 12, reduced fare will be available only through the Reduced Fare FAREPAY Card for qualified riders. Youth, seniors, people with disabilities, and income-qualified riders will need to apply and use this card to receive reduced fare. With the card, you’ll pay just $1 per trip — plus automatic daily and weekly fare caps that help you save the more you ride.

In addition to reduced fare changes, monthly paper passes will be discontinued. Monthly passes will only be available for purchase through the Transit app.
