PLT Operations Lab✅✅✅ This week Bronco Company conducted PLT Operations lab. This lab was conducted by having the MS3's teach MS1/2's all of the positions in a PLT formation and what their role is in the PLT. This followed a PLT movement in which cadets had to maneuver in the woods and follow the mission given by higher, which in this case consisted of setting up an ORP and conducting patrols. The purpose of this lab was for cadets to gain knowledge and experience on working together as a platoon and conduct various movement techniques as a platoon sized element.

Reconnaissance Lab✅✅✅ Last week Bronco Company conducted Squad Reconnaissance in order to collect PIR’s on the enemy. In this lab, MS1’s where given a class on the fundamentals of reconnaissance and attempted to spot those conducting recon. MS2 and MS3 cadets conducted a Squad Recon mission, receiving a FRAGO, briefing an order, and conducting reconnaissance on OPFOR.

From 22-24OCT the RC team was put to the test at Fort Dix, NJ. Over the course of the 3 day BDE Ranger Challenge competition our team was assessed on their ability to conduct basic soldier skills such as disassembling, assembling, and performing a functions check on the M4 and M249 SAW. Additionally the team was tested on their TCCC skills, their ability to negotiate a gr***de course, an obstacle course, build a single rope bridge, and ultimately conduct a 6 mile ruck march as fast as possible.
