Information and referral services are offered for those with needs which would best be met by regional programs or services.

Leisure Services Special Needs Program provides a full array of high quality recreational programs designed specifically for children, teens and adults with special needs. The Special Needs Program, a division of the Town of West Hartford's Department of Human and Leisure Services, strives to provide diverse social and recreational programming. While the Elmwood Community Center is home to a varie

ty of activities planned for individuals with special needs, inclusion assistance is provided for those wishing to enroll in a class or program offered at some Town of West Hartford facilities. Conversations regarding inclusion assistance for classes and vacation camps must take place with the Special Needs program Coordinator at least TWO WEEKS PRIOR to class/camp start date. Please call 860-561-8173 and speak with the Special Needs Coordinator.
