Honoring Juneteenth at First Church on June 21

All are welcome to worship at First Church as we honor Juneteenth on Sunday, June 21 at 10 a.m.! Join us in the meetinghouse for a special service led by Senior Minister Rev. Fredd Ward.

Also that day, the JPWL will distribute copies of the book When Alexander Graced the Table by chef Alexander Smalls to each family, while copies last. Based on the author's childhood, this is the story of a young man's efforts to contribute a dish to the weekly Sunday dinner, "something warm and satisfying, something that the whole family will love and, most of all, will make his dad proud."
