The Town of West Hartford has ten (10) voting precincts/districts. Voters can find out if they are registered to vote and their polling place at the Secretary of the State's "Look Up" site.

The following are the contested races that will be on the ballot for West Hartford voters:
Town Council – Vote for 6
Democratic candidates are Carol Blanks, Shari Cantor, Tiffani McGinnis, Deb Polun, Barry Walters and Ben Wenograd
Republican candidates are Alberto Cortes, Mary Fay, Aaron Sarwar, and Mark Zydanowicz
A Connecticut Party candidate is Rick Bush
Town Clerk
Democrat Leon S. Davidoff is running unopposed.
Board of Education (Full four-year term) — Vote for 2
Democratic candidates are LaToya Fernandez and Shannon Marimón
Republican candidates are Ethan Goldman and Kyle Zelanzy
A Connecticut Party candidates are Roni Rodman and Kristyn Rosen-Jacobs
Board of Education (Two-year vacancy)
Democrat Jason Gagnon is running unopposed.
ABSENTEE BALLOTS
Absentee Ballots are still available until 4:30PM on Monday, November 6, 2023.
Connecticut law allows you to receive an absentee ballot if you cannot appear at your assigned polling place on election day because of active service in the Military, absence from the town, sickness, religious tenets forbid secular activity on the day of the election, duties as an election official at a polling place other than your own during all of the hours of voting, or physical disability.
To expedite the delivery, please use the Election Drop Boxes for applications AND returned ballots. If mailing by USPS, please allow enough time for the ballot to arrive in our office by 8PM on Election Day.

Applications may be submitted immediately and dropped in the Election Drop Boxes located at the main entrance to Town Hall and the Faxon Branch Library or they may be mailed to the Town Clerk's office. All applications must contain the original signature of the applicant. In order for you to receive your ballot on time, applications should be submitted as soon as possible to avoid receiving a late ballot. All ballots must be received by 8PM on Election Day.

VOTER ID REQUIREMENTS
Before you vote at the polls, poll workers will ask for some form of identification - a drivers' license, utility bill, paycheck or other ID - to confirm your eligibility to vote. To find out more, visit https://portal.ct.gov/SOTS/Election-Services/FAQ/FAQ---Voter-Identification.
ELECTION DAY REGISTRATION
For those who have not registered to vote, but would like to, may register on Election Day through our Election Day Registration process held at West Hartford Town Hall, Room 400, 50 South Main Street, from 6:00AM to 8:00PM.
All voters must be 18 years of age on Election Day in order to register. You must also present proper identification: a copy of a current and valid photo identification that shows your name and address; or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or government document that shows your name and address.

REGISTRARS of VOTERS EXTENDED OFFICE HOURS
The Office of the Registrars of Voters will have extended office hours on Monday, October 31, 9AM to 8PM, Monday, November 6, 9AM to 5PM, and Tuesday, November 7, 6AM to 8PM.
