If you plan to fry your Turkey this holiday season. Please remember these safety tips. 1. Always cook on a level ground, outside and 20 feet away from structures. 2. Make sure turkey is fully defrosted. 3. Test oil level by using water first, to make sure that fluid will not overflow. (Wipe down pot well after water test)
4. Do not cook outside in the rain or snow. 5. Before lowering into oil, turn off burner, once fully submerged, turn burner back on. 6. Use cooking mitts and eye protection. 7. Remember, oil remains hot, hours after the flame is out. 8. Dispose of oil properly and in approved containers. If you have any other questions, please call your local fire department.
