West Frankfort Fire Department The West Frankfort Fire Department serves the City of West Frankfort along with both Denning and Frankfort Townships in Franklin County, IL. We cover 72 Sq.

Our services include Fire, EMS and Rescue. Miles and approximately 14,000 people. The West Frankfort Fire Department is a combination department located in West Frankfort, Illinois. We provide fire protection, rescue/extrication, and emergency medical care and transport for 72 square miles of Franklin County, Illinois. Our coverage area includes the City of West Frankfort, Orient, and portions of

Freeman Spur, as well as the unincorporated areas of Frankfort and Denning Townships and 6 miles of Interstate 57. There are approximately 14000 residents in our coverage area. Our department is comprised of a full time Fire Chief, eleven(11) full time Firefighter/Paramedics, and about five (5) paid on call Firefighters. Our fleet consists of three ALS ambulances, three fire engines, one aerial truck, one brush engine, two UTVs, one command vehicle and two support vehicles.

Remember that applications will be available Monday online and at City hall 605 W Main St West Frankfort IL 62896. Applications will be due Friday May 22nd at 4:30PM. They may be turned in by email to the city clerk or in person at city hall. Be sure to complete all required materials included in the packet prior to turning it in. All 3 components of the test will be completed Saturday May 23
