🌳 Forestry Friday

If you're scared of heights, this Forestry Friday might give you the chills!

The bucket truck helps crews safely prune trees, inspect canopy health, and remove hazardous limbs. It's also a valuable tool as Forestry staff continue emerald ash borer mitigation efforts, including the removal and replacement of ash trees through an EAB mitigation grant.

Watch below to see just how high the bucket truck extends - and see if you can spot a waving hand at the top⬇️

💧REMINDER!

All sump pumps in West Fargo should discharge outdoors between April 15 and October 15. Directing sump pump water outdoors helps prevent the sanitary sewer system from becoming overwhelmed, reduces the risk of sewage backups in properties, and decreases the volume of water sent to wastewater treatment plants.

Before a rain event, be sure to check your sump pump:
✅ Make sure it's plugged into a working outlet
✅ Ensure the float moves freely without obstruction
✅ Clear any debris from the pit
✅ Confirm the discharge line directs water safely outside

When discharging outdoors, direct water away from your foundation and avoid placing hoses across sidewalks or in areas where water may pool.
