Meals on Wheels of the Sandhills We often hear directly from the person in need or from family members who live far away and are concerned for their loved ones.

Meals on Wheels of the Sandhills provides a hot, nutritious, diet-specific mid-day meal, Monday through Friday (including weekday holidays), to homebound recipients unable to cook for themselves and don't have others to cook for them. Meals on Wheels of the Sandhills provides a hot, nutritious, mid-day meal, Monday through Friday (including weekday holidays), to homebound Moore County, NC residents. A person is eligible to receive meals if they are partially or fully homebound and unable to have meals prepared, unable to prepare meals for themselves, and experiencing food insecurity. We also receive referrals from the Department of Aging & Social Services, FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Home Health Agencies, Doctors, Nurses, Churches and Other Responsible Parties. Please contact us if you or someone you know is partially or fully homebound and experiencing food insecurity. We are a 501c3 nonprofit organization and a partnering agency of The United Way of Moore County as well as the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC. Food insecurity affects the entire household—including our furry family members. Thanks to this amazing collaborative support, we can ensure our clients’ pets stay fed, healthy, and happy alongside their families.
