Meet Meatloaf!

Meatloaf is a sweet Airedale Poodle blend, which is our best guess. He weighs about 65 lbs and is around 1.5. He is a total lover boy and wants to try and sit on you when you hang out with him. He walks nicely on a leash. He has not been dog or kid tested. Meatloaf will need to learn his manners still, but is very responsive to being corrected. He is just a big happy guy looking for his forever home!

Meatloaf is neutered, micro chipped and current on vaccines.

Was anyone at the park today and picked up a black and blue dog backpack that was left on the front picnic table. Tracy my finace and I were there with our dog Parker late morning and I forgot to grab it and didn't realize until this evening. please contact me at 224 805 0374. thanks Michelle

Hello! I wanted to reach out to this page to inform you and ask that you spread this information on your page as well. At 6am this morning on my way to work I spotted a German shepherd sitting on the side of the road just near the intersection of Rte 72 & Wessex dr. Well I pulled over and approached the dog. They did have a collar and came near me and let me pet him/her momentarily. I opened my back door in hopes they would easily just enter my car.. well this frightened the poor thing and this dog scurried into the woodsy area that he/she was sitting near. I could leave knowing this dog was freezing and alone and not safe so I desperately tried to call out to the dog and drove around the area for an hour. During that time I called to police in hopes they could help but the police officer was of no help and only really looked for about 10 minutes. He told me there’s not much he could do if the dog doesn’t want to get caught. Well after waiting for the sun to rise to get a better look into the woods and as much as I wanted to go and look for him I wasn’t prepared for that and had to go to work. I messaged a couple lost dog pages and Lost Dogs Illinois responded and posted the sighting on their page. I really wanted to make sure this dog is still alive and help him/her so I went back with my boots after I got off work to see if the dog stayed in the area. Well to my surprise I spotted the dog in there but only a glimpse as he was running when he spotted and heard me first. I followed his tracks he left behind and they led all the way to the dog park! Behind the red brick building there is where I got to. And right in the area it looks like someone had left him some kibble at some point maybe. But he’s definitely out there and staying in this general area he must be if I spotted him there at 6am and then later at 3:45pm! So it would be greatly appreciated if you could spread awareness in hopes that we get this dog to safety.
