May has come to a close, and what a month it has been. After House of Origin, I’m proud that we successfully advanced several of my bills.

Now, on to June and one of the most important responsibilities before us: meeting California’s constitutional deadline to pass a balanced state budget by June 15. While negotiations are still underway, I remain committed to fighting for the residents of Senate District 22, working families, survivors, seniors, students, and the communities we are privileged to serve.

There is still important work ahead, and I look forward to continuing that work on behalf of the people of California.

I recently had the opportunity to sit down with the Hourglass Podcast to discuss child alienation, Piqui’s Law, domestic violence, and the challenges many families face navigating these difficult situations. Thank you to attorney David Glass for the thoughtful conversation and for helping bring greater awareness to these important issues. Be sure to check out the episode and join the conversation.

Today marks one year since the tragic loss of Officer Samuel Riveros, a beloved member of the Baldwin Park Police Department, and a hero whose service and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

Honored to see the City of Baldwin Park, the Baldwin Park Police Department, Officer Riveros’ family, friends, and community members commemorate a memorial street sign in his honor. While no tribute can erase the pain of his loss, it was inspiring to see our community come together to ensure his legacy lives on for generations to come.

We remember Officer Riveros with gratitude, honor his commitment to serving others, and keep his loved ones in our thoughts today and always. 💙

House of Origin has officially concluded, and I’m proud to announce that our legislative package is now headed to the Assembly. From protecting children and domestic violence survivors, to expanding healthcare access, increasing government transparency, supporting working families, and strengthening California communities, these bills reflect the work we are fighting for every single day in the Capitol.

Thankful to my Senate colleagues, advocates, stakeholders, and of course for the long days and late nights to move meaningful legislation forward for the people of California.
