West Conshohocken’s 9/11 Memorial Service to honor the victims of the tragedy and all first responders. This year marking 25 years felt like a real turn of generations, where so many Americans do not have first hand memories of that time in our history or the days following. It is important to continue to remember this tragedy but especially focus on the bravery of our first responders and the resilience of the American spirit. Remember how great of a place America really can be when we are united.

I wanted to have a clue what it felt like to go up and down flights of stairs in all that firefighter gear. Turns out that equals 40 lbs of gear and a 33lb air pack. To be blunt, it’s a hell of a workout, it’s heavy and hot.

This practice scenario didn’t even come close to what the brave souls responding at the World Trade Center encountered 25 years ago. 🇺🇸

I knew I was safe and under the trusty supervision of some of the volunteers at George Clay Fire Company. They got me in and out of the gear and watched me like a hawk to make sure I didn’t miss a step.

I have massive respect for everyone in the firefighting profession. You are incredibly brave and strong. ❤️Thank you 🙏🏼

September 11th Memorial Service

Honoring the 25th Anniversary of September 11, 2001.

The Borough of West Conshohocken invites all residents, families, and neighbors to gather for our annual September 11th Memorial Service.

This year marks 25 years since the solemn events of September 11, 2001. As a community, we will come together to honor the memory of the lives lost, pay tribute to the selflessness and bravery of our first responders, and reaffirm our unity and strength.

Please join fellow neighbors and community members for a quiet evening of reflection and remembrance. All are welcome to attend.

💙Looking around last night I had to marvel at the sweet little safe bubble of a town we live in. The families growing, the kids playing, dogs loving the park and our first responders being appreciated. We are lucky. 💙

What a wonderful time together at MacKenzie Park for National Night Out. Thank you to our sponsors, especially Janeway. Great job by West Conshy Public Works, the Parks and Rec Crew, George Clay, Narbeth Ambulance and our Police Department especially Carol and Officer Carlin. Everyone had fun enjoying a beautiful summer evening.
