There hasn't been much a winter this year (knock on wood). With that being said, let's take an opportunity to reminisce on winters of past. We would like to know your answer to the following question:

Charlie Neal is Pilot on Amherst Madison's M/V CHARLES T.JONES. His 9 year old son Bentley(Bent) is a giver just like his Mom & Dad.

Bent enjoys helping people. He’s currently raising money to support the Veterans Memorial Fund and collects pop tabs throughout his community in West Columbia, WV to donate to the Ronald McDonald House. When his Dad told him about filling the barge to support Riverworks Discovery, he decided to donate $50 of his money!

RWD wanted to tell this story because it’s so heartwarming and our favorite donation for this cause. All were appreciated and special, but this one touched us.

West Columbia got its post office in 1847, and by 1851, it was the largest town in the county. However, it was soon surpassed by Point Pleasant, Mason, and Hartford, and by 1908 (seen below), little was left to show of the great coal and salt town.
