Receive alerts about emergencies and other important county and municipal government information by signing up for Ready ChesCo. You will receive messages based on areas of interest, as well as emergency information based on locations you enter. You can receive the information in a variety of different ways such as your home phone, mobile or business phones, email address, text messages, and more. This is a free service.

September is National Preparedness Month. FEMA's Ready Campaign has observed this month since 2004 to encourage Americans to prepare for emergencies. We'll be sharing tips and resources all month.

Among the many resources on Ready.gov is a fillable Family Communication Plan, which helps families outline how they will connect with one another if they become separated during an emergency. Recognizing that some residents may prefer not to enter personal information into an online form, the East Bradford Environmental Advisory Council (EAC) has developed an Excel-based Family Communication Plan template. This easy-to-use document allows you to create and securely store your family’s emergency contact information, meeting locations, and other essential details on your own computer.
