As we head into the Labor Day holiday, please keep these service updates in mind for Monday, September 7th:

• Free parking will be available on all streets and surface lots.
• Borough offices will be closed.
• Street sweeping and trash collection will be paused for the holiday and resume Tuesday, September 8th.

Dear Residents,

Just a reminder: the ordinance regarding trash collection has been in place for some time, specifically regarding the use of 35-gallon trash cans. This guideline helps ensure efficient waste management in our community, and it is important to follow these standards. Unfortunately, we currently have no alternatives for containers larger than 35 gallons, which means we will not collect any trash placed in cans exceeding this size.

We understand that managing waste can be challenging, and we are committed to supporting you during this transition. To that end, we will continue to collect your trash as usual until the end of September. This grace period gives you time to adjust your trash disposal practices and stay compliant with the ordinance.

Starting in October, please be aware that any violations of this ordinance will result in a notice of violation. We appreciate your cooperation and your commitment to keeping our community clean and well-maintained. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the trash collection policy, please feel free to reach out.

Road Closure Announcement:

On Sept. 3rd, 4th, and 8th of 2026 the 400 block of Sharpless Street will be closed from 9:00AM - 3:00PM for AQUA work.

Please note that AQUA will do their best to accommodate buses and trash trucks.
