Today we honor the end of slavery in the United States, celebrate the contributions of Black Americans, and recommit ourselves to building a future where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.

Saturday is the door-knocking kick-off! Door-knocking is the most important way to get votes, and to flip this district we need to knock 9,000 doors this summer 😮 I'm going to be walking my feet off to knock as many as I can, but I need YOUR help. Please come meet us at the Bridgewater Falls Starbucks at 10am THIS Saturday to kick things off. We will give you a list and walk you through the process. I hope to see you there!

Statehouse Republicans promised that cutting corporate taxes would trickle down. Instead, three decades of their economic playbook has left Ohio stalled at #39 in median household income... over 11% lower than the national average.

This wage stagnation is by design. Republican leaders legally banned Ohio cities from raising local minimum wages, systematically attacked the unions that built the middle class, and shifted the tax burden onto everyday families through skyrocketing property and sales taxes.

This Pride Month, BCDP is celebrating the vibrant Ohioans who use their talents and platforms to spread joy, kindness, and community support. Before she captured the world's heart on RuPaul's Drag Race Season 11 (winning Miss Congeniality!), Nina West (Andrew Levitt) was a staple of the vibrant Columbus, Ohio drag scene.

Nina has used her massive platform not just to entertain, but to give back. Through the Nina West Foundation, she has raised over $2 million for local and national LGBTQ+ charities, supporting youth, families, and social services. From Ohio theater stages to national tours, Nina proves that kindness and drag are powerful tools for change.
