These photographs show two memorials that are in place at the Chester County Public Safety Training Campus, dedicated to honoring those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001, and ensuring that they are not forgotten.

Yesterday, September 9, members of our Emergency Management Division attended the Chester County Commissioners' Meeting, where September was recognized as National Preparedness Month!

Daniel Saunders, Technological Hazards Coordinator, spoke on the importance of emergency preparedness and accepted the proclamation on behalf of the department.

Did you know calling 9-1-1 is the best way to get help from a park ranger on a county-owned park or trail? This includes parking lot break-ins, wild animal concerns, and medical emergencies. Maybe even running into a strangely charismatic man in a funny hat who wants to tell you about birds. Better safe than sorry.
