West Boylston Senior Center The West Boylston Council on Aging will identify, promote and provide for the needs of the elder citizens of West Boylston through services.

The West Boylston Council on Aging will identify, promote and provide for the needs of the elder citizens of West Boylston through services which consist of community participation as well as social, nutritional, health, recreational and educational programs. The Council on Aging was established by town meeting vote on April 8, 1974 under Article 20. It was voted to establish a Council on Aging co

nsisting of not less than three nor more than seven members who shall be registered voters of the town and who shall be appointed for the purpose of coordinating or carrying out programs designed to meet the problems of the aging in coordination with programs of the Commission on Aging established under Section 73 of Chapter 6 of the General Laws of the State of Massachusetts. The Council On Aging consists of 7 residents who are appointed by the Town Administrator to 3-year terms.

A fun time was had by all at the Senior Single Mingle party at the West Boston Senior Center last evening. We played some fun games, including corn hole and snowball fight, had some delicious food and enjoyed getting to know each other. Looking forward to another party!!

The West Boylston Senior Center would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Worcester District Attorney's Office for sponsoring lunch for our seniors and providing an informative presentation on scams and scam prevention.

This presentation provided valuable information to help older adults recognize, avoid, and report scams, empowering them to better protect themselves from fraud and financial exploitation.

To promote this event and recognize the Worcester District Attorney's Office for their support, the Senior Center created and distributed flyers, featured the event in our newsletter, and posted a one-minute recognition video on our page. These outreach efforts helped increase awareness of the program and ensured strong community participation.

We appreciate the Worcester District Attorney's Office for investing in the safety, education, and well-being of our senior community.
