Last week our Russian-speaking Social Club "Circle of Friends" hosted a cultural event "Music by Jewish Composers of the Soviet Era." The event was attended by 59 participants: JFS clients, many of them Holocaust Survivors, as well as several family members and friends.

A special highlight of the program was a presentation by Zoya Ivanova, a JFS client and a former leading actress of the Moscow Operetta Theater. She shared personal memories of the famous Jewish composers with whom she worked during her artistic career.

The program also featured a musical performance by Igor Korokhov, who played many well-known songs by Jewish composers of the Soviet era. Participants sang along with the musician, enjoying beloved melodies from their younger years. The event was a wonderful way to reconnect. 🎵
